Happy Valentines!

Sisters, this is the month of love.  This should be easy to demonstrate how much love we have for our veterans and country through our youth.  What more magical than a child’s love; “United By Love for Our Veterans and Country.”

You could have a Valentine’s Party for your veterans.  Have your children do cookies, candies, etc.  Let them decorate the Post home.

February 13-19 is Hospitalized Veterans Week.  They could do flowers, cards for VA Hospitals, hospitals, nursing homes.  Contact your Girl Scouts, maybe they would like to participate in the fun.  Get your schools involved.  Surely you have post children, include them; “Our Strength Lies in Unity.”  Church youth groups are always eager to show their love.

February 21^st is President’s Day.  This is a great week to go to your school and have a “Pledge of Allegiance” program.  Coloring competitions are fun.  Give them awards to encourage them to show their patriotism.  Set them on the right path.

We are still looking for that pot of gold!!
