Ladies, Christmas and 2010 are now over with and the New Year will be one of "Loyalty & Dedication" to our Hospitalized Veterans, that our "STRENGTH LIES IN UNITY" in doing all we can for them. (District President's with Auxiliaries that assigned to the Fay.VA, please make sure they have this information at your next District Meeting.) Thank you kindly.

 

February 4, 5 and 6th, 2011 will be our Department Council Meeting, at the North Raleigh Hilton, and we will have a very important guest speaker at the Joint Session on Saturday the 5th at approximately 2 pm and that Guest will be the new Hospital Director for the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, Ms Betty Goolsby. So please try to attend, as she will have some information on changes being made now, updates on what are in the future plans and Outpatient Clinic's that have been opened & others that will be opening soon. She is a very special lady, she is one that anyone can talk to & she will listen. PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND.

Reminder; February 13-19 is Hospitalized Veterans Week, also Valentine’s Day, a day of love, right? So let's show them how much we care & how much LOVE, we have in our hearts, Plan something special.

MEN'S ITEMS NEEDED;

Sweat Pants, Sweat Shirts, and Dial& Suave Body wash for men.

DONATIONS (SPECIAL)

Coloring Books, Small Boxes of Crayons, Golden Books, Teen Books, Word Search Books, (Regular & Large Print) Puzzle Books, (Regular & Large Print) Lip Balm,

Coffee (Large cans) Decaffeinated, & Sugar-in single serving Packets.

MONETARY DONATIONS:

General Fund; Recreation Fund; SWS Emergency Fund; Mental Health Intensive Case Management Fund; After-Care Fund, Hospice Fund; NHCU Enhancement Fund; Christmas Fund and Women's Clinic Fund.

A thank you to VFW Auxiliary #9881, Biscoe for the $100.00 check to purchase Christmas items for the patients, it was appreciated greatly.
